When: Monday - Friday, 9am -3pm
Where: Achievement House, Wilson Street (next to Cambridge Primary)
Urban Miners is excited to announce a new partnership with Achievement House in Cambridge, making it easier than ever for locals to recycle their e-waste.
You can drop off e-waste at Achievement House, Wilson Street, five days a week during their normal opening hours. This adds to our existing monthly Sunday collections at Cambridge High School, which will continue as usual.
Items accepted include:
Computers, laptops, phones, and small electronics
Cables, plugs, and cords
Batteries of all types
Please note: we cannot accept large whiteware such as fridges or washing machines.
All collected e-waste is dismantled at the Urban Miners workshop, where materials are sorted for reuse and recycling. This helps divert valuable resources away from landfill and supports our community-driven mission to tackle e-waste in Waipā.
By teaming up with Achievement House, which provides meaningful work opportunities for people with intellectual and learning disabilities, we’re building both a more sustainable environment and a stronger community.
Where to drop off your e-waste:
Achievement House, Wilson Street, Cambridge (Mon–Fri, opening hours)
Cambridge High School, 3rd Sunday of the month collections
ASB Te Awamutu Sports Club, 1st Sunday of the month collections
Together, we can keep more e-waste out of landfill. Thank you for your support.
